PRIVACY POLICY AND STATEMENT

Country Heritage Credit Union understands and respects the

importance of keeping our valued current and past members

account information private. We, therefore, have implemented

the following guidelines that all official family and staff

will follow:

* Country Heritage Credit Union has established procedures

so that member financial information is accurate,

current, and complete in accordance with reasonable

standards. We also respond promptly to requests to

correct inaccurate information.

* We collect, use and retain information about our members

only when we reasonably believe it would be useful (and

allowed by law) to administering the credit union's

business and in providing products, services and other

opportunities to you, our member.

* We limit official family and staff access to personally

identifiable information to those with a business reason

for knowing such information.

* We educate our official family and staff so that they

will understand the importance of confidentiality and

member privacy.

* We do not reveal specific information about your account

or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated

third parties for their independent use, except for the

exchange of information with reputable information

reporting agencies. Exceptions to this would be:

     a) The information is provided to help complete a member

        - initiated transaction

     b) You, the member, request it

     c) The disclosure is required by/or allowed by law

        (subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.)

 

* If personally identifiable member information is provided

to a third party, we will insist the third party adhere

to similar privacy principles that provide for keeping

such information confidential.

 

* Information you provide to us over the Internet, such as

name, address, telephone number, etc, will not be given

to any outside company, unless you authorize us to do so.

* We use secure technology and privacy protection controls

to safeguard your personal information.

 

* No one from the credit union will call you and ask for

you account number. Use caution when giving out your

account number online to make purchases. We encourage you

to review the privacy policy of websites before you

provide them with any of your personal information.

 

* We will offer you a choice of how your information is

used. Any member of the credit union may elect to keep

information from being shared with our business partners.

Upon request, we will inform you on how to exercise your

choice, and we will take all reasonable to steps to make

sure your requests are followed. At least once a year,

we will remind all members of your right to choose.
